this is what Higurashi is about everyone have their traumas, their sins, mistakes, and they were all able to live foward the strong bond in their friendship is unbreakable, even tought some adaptations try to show the contrary, the Game Club have a friendship so strong it passed through multiple fragments, even the most weirdest ones i can't be thank ryukishi enough for creating this masterpiece, Higurashi is not just a lesson, it's a world, it's a sentimental journey through the life of those kids and their fight to break the destiny

Remember when the original Higurashi was about trusting your friends, speaking to and relying on your friends and/or loved ones when you're going through hard times? What the heck happened to that in the new series? Why is Satoko suddenly going all (uncharacteristically)Yandere over Rika and killing all her other friends for no good reason? What happened to this group of good friends who were willing to literally die for each other?

I just finished this series 30 minutes ago, I gotta say it's 100% tied for my favorite fictional series of all time. Even if the visual novel is about 100 hours long, I can't remember a single minute where I was bored. The story just immerses you into Hinamizawa so well, and uses its long length to allow you to build up emotional attachments to each character, and also place them in interesting situations each arc and develop them much further than what you initially thought of them. Not only that, but it ties its themes about trust, miracles, working together, and the dangers of scapegoating into the story in such an unforgettable way, so that it really convinces you to believe in what the story is trying to tell you. A true masterpiece.
